Men & Women
at Work: Strategies for the Total Team
Do men or women make better managers? How do men
rate women managers? The answers may surprise you. Mancusi cites
a recent study that demonstrates that women managers are more effective
in 28 of 31 management traits - and most of the raters were men!!
Both men and women can be equally successful at the same job. They
achieve their success often by using different management styles.
The key to team productivity is identifying the best management
style for each individual.
Dr. Mancusi leads each group through exercises to recognize the
differing management styles they may use. Groups work to identify
where those styles can best be utilized in your organization. Recreate
your teams and work together to develop excellence. Mancusi teaches
that it is important to treat each person as a minority group of
one.
This program promotes understanding of everyone’s different
styles to build teams, teach group skills, and promote cooperation
among all people in different work areas. It is ideal for general
audiences, managers, and intact work groups. It is usually presented
in a four to six hour workshop. Some topics taught are:
 |
Group Competition and Cooperation Processes
|
 |
Time Efficient Group Meetings
|
 |
Effective Group Leadership Styles

 |
|
 |
Communication Skills Training

Cultural Diversity:
A New Look at the Golden Rule
|
Dr. Mancusi is one of the
most effective speakers on cultural diversity. He has spoken on
diversity and achievement at American Express, USA Today, the Organization
for Chinese Americans, the Maryland Municipal League, and dozens
of other organizations.
Is the Golden rule, ”Do unto others as you would have them
do unto you,” undermining effective communication and teamwork
in America’s companies? Is our fear of stepping on toes keeping
us from letting people in? Learn why Mancusi’s Platinum Rule
is the key to productive relationships in our diverse society.
Audiences learn to apply strategies and techniques that emphasize
his credo: “In truth, we are all people of color, gender, and
accent. Treat every person as if each is a minority group of one.” This
talk has been used in a wide variety of special programs to emphasize
achievements of employees regardless of sex, race, country of origin,
or other factors.
These programs are examples of Dr.
Mancusi's work to demonstrate the breadth of his subject expertise.
The write-ups are a base upon which a client and Dr. Mancusi
can build a customized program to meet the organization's meeting
theme and goals.
